TERMS AND CONDITIONS
We’re dedicated to making your experience as easy as possible. That’s why it’s important to us that you understand what you’re booking before you commit. We’ve set out everything you need to know below, so there are no surprises. These terms and conditions are governed by UK law and apply from when we provide you with a booking, either by phone or on the website. The customer and Top Dogs Travel both agree to submit to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the UK courts.
Prices
All prices are constantly updated so we can give you the best deal available at the time. We offer some amazingly low rates; the quoted fare offered you may increase if you return to our booking page to book later. To secure the price, we advise booking with us immediately, so we can guarantee the best price.
- Definitions
“TDT” means Top Dogs Travel whose trading address and offices is located at :-

“You” and “your” means any individual, company or other business who places the booking with us.
- Booking
2.1 You must allow sufficient time when booking your taxi to allow for the check-in times required by your airline and for any delays caused by traffic conditions. TDT are happy to advise on travel time but shall not be responsible for any delay caused by your failure to allow enough time to reach your destination or if the passengers are not ready for collection at the booked time.
2.2 You must order a suitable car size for the number of passengers and luggage. TDT cannot guarantee to carry excessive amounts of luggage. Please note that a child, no matter what age, counts as one passenger. No large items of luggage is to be placed on vehicle seats.
2.3 If you need to transport a wheelchair, or other specialised items, please specify this at the time of booking.
2.4 Bookings can only be made via e-mail using out online booking request form. As part of our booking process, you will be given the opportunity to check your booking and to correct any errors. We will send you a booking acknowledgement detailing the services you have ordered along with times, dates, cost and any additional arrangements that may have been agreed i.e., assisted check-in, special requirements.
2.5 Our acceptance of a booking takes place when we send you a booking confirmation email.
- Prices & Payment
3.1 TDT will email you a quotation based on the information supplied by you.
3.2 TDT may amend the quotation if there is any material change to the original itinerary, the number of passengers or the type or size of vehicle required.
3.3 The quotation will include a waiting period after the advertised landing time and the cost of car parking. TDT will charge for waiting after a reasonable period at its standard rates of £20* per hour or part thereof after the initial waiting period has expired. TDT will endeavour to check for flight delays to minimise waiting charges before the driver leaves for the airport but shall be under no obligation to do so.
3.4 If you accept the quotation, you will receive confirmation of your booking by email. Please check your booking confirmation carefully and inform TDT promptly of any errors. TDT shall not be responsible for any delays caused or costs arising from by your failure to provide TDT with correct information.
3.5 Payment can be made by cash, credit card, debit card, or bank transfer. Payment must be made before travel commencement, with the exception of ‘on account’ bookings, which must be settled on receipt of invoice. Cheques are not accepted.
- The Service
4.1 You shall be responsible for the behaviour of all the passengers in the car during the journey. You will be charged £150 to cover cleaning costs in the unlikely event of the vehicle being soiled by any passenger.
4.2 Eating, drinking and/or smoking in the cars is not permitted.
4.3 All children travelling during the journey should be restrained in a manner appropriate to their age, weight, and height. Suitable child seats should wherever possible be supplied and fitted by the child’s parents. Such seats may be retained by the driver for use on the return journey.
4.4 TDT will not carry more passengers than its insurance or licensing allows.
- Cancellations and Refunds
5.1 If you wish to cancel your booking:
(a) you can notify us by email to bookings@topdogstravel.co.uk. If we are notified within 12 hours of the pick-up time, then a cancellation fee of 50% of the total journey price will apply. If notified within 6 hours of the pick-up time, a cancellation fee of 100% of the journey price will apply.*
(b) where the driver has already departed to meet you, or your journey has already begun, we reserve the right to charge the full fare.*
(c) When a booking has been paid for and cancelled with more than 12 hours’ notice, then a full refund – minus the card charges – shall be applied.*
(d) For all cancelled bookings, an additional administration fee may apply, however, this is at the discretion of TDT.*
5.2 Full refunds will only be processed if an error has been made by TDT resulting in alternative travel arrangements having to be made resulting in the services of TDT no longer being required. TDT will only refund the original cost paid and are not liable for any additional charges made by providers of any alternative travel arrangements.
5.3 All claims for refunds should be made within 30 days of the original booking date.
- Liability
6.1 TDT shall use all reasonable endeavours to get you to your destination on time but shall not be liable for any loss due to delays caused traffic delays, accidents, breakdowns, severe weather conditions etc. or any other event or traffic conditions beyond its control on the journey. Under no circumstances shall TDT be liable (in contract, tort or otherwise) for any loss of profits, business or for any indirect or consequential loss.
6.2 All luggage is carried entirely at your risk.
6.3 TDT shall be entitled to cancel all services and provide refunds in the event of a declared national emergency, riot, war, fuel shortage, extreme weather or terrorist attack, or other circumstances beyond its control. If the car breaks down during your journey TDT will endeavour to arrange an alternative car to complete the journey as soon as practicable.
6.4 You shall indemnify TDT against all losses, costs, damages, and expenses arising from any act or omission of any passenger in your party.
6.5 Neither party excludes or limits its liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for wilful default or fraudulent misrepresentation, or otherwise in any manner unenforceable by any applicable law.
- Termination
TDT will refuse or terminate any booking with immediate effect if it places any staff member, driver or vehicle at risk of damage, violence or abuse by you or by any passenger in your party and will ask all passengers to vacate the vehicle as soon as it is safe to do so. This includes, and not limited to phone calls, social media, emails, texts and WhatsApp correspondence. No refunds will be given if the journey is terminated part way through the hire.
- Miscellaneous
8.1 TDT may subcontract its obligations under this Agreement. You shall not assign, transfer or delegate any of your rights or obligations under this Agreement.
8.2 TDT may change these terms and conditions at any time by posting changes online. Please review these terms and conditions regularly to ensure that you are aware of any changes. All existing bookings will be at the rate quoted or applicable rate in effect at the time of booking.
8.3 TDT shall store, process, and use all information regarding your personal details in accordance with the requirements of the Data Protection Act 1998.
8.4 This Agreement and any accompanying quotation represents the entire agreement between you and TDT in relation to its subject matter. If there is any discrepancy between the terms of this Agreement and the quotation, the terms of this Agreement shall prevail.
8.5 Nothing in this Agreement is intended to confer any benefit on any third party, whether pursuant to the Contracts (Rights of Third Parties) Act 1999 or otherwise, and no third party shall have the right to enforce any rights under this Agreement except where otherwise agreed in writing.
- Disputes
This Agreement shall be construed in accordance with English law and you and TDT each agree to submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the English Courts in respect of any dispute or claim arising out of or in connection with this Agreement.
- Conveying of children
UK law states that taxis/private hire vehicles are exempt from legislation relating to children travelling in a baby/child seat or booster, more details of the legislation can be found here. For Health and Safety reasons TDT are unable to provide any form of child seat. However, if you are booking a return journey and have your own child seat, the driver who carries out your booking will store your child seat for the return journey, please note that the installation of the child seat must be carried out by you.
